Imaging Life 2020: Image competition |
Image submission will open soon.
The aim of this competition is to show that microscopic images often not only have scientific value but also an artistic value. Any microscope image can be submitted for the competition – images made with any light microscope, electron microscope, scanning probe microscope, or a combination of the above.
The selected images will be displayed during the symposium.
ELIGIBILITY
Postgraduates and early career researchers are invited to submit images (up to 2 per delegate) for the picture competition.
PICTURE SUBMISSION FORMAT
Entries can only be accepted electronically as digital images (JPEG or TIFF files, no larger than 4Mb). Please only send flattened images. Mild processing and photoshopping is allowed. Scale bar is not required.
HOW TO SUBMIT
All submissions should include the entrant’s name, university affiliation and email address, along with a short description of each micrograph (less than 50 words).
Please send the images to imagine2022@sheffield.ac.uk, with 'IMAGE' followed by the 'delegate’s surname' as the clear subject title in the email. Alternatively, images may be submitted via Twitter (@Imagine2022).
PRIZES
Prizes shall be awarded for the three best images. Delegates will be asked to vote for the best images on the day.
